Another week has gone by and the summer is moving slowly away from us. Already, there are signs for “back to school” sales and much needed supplies featured on all of the advertisements. Well, before the nights get darker and the sounds of children playing outside diminish – enjoy the great weather and carefree feeling of the summer!
I have been working on my red holiday gift and it is moving along very nicely. I enjoy the working of the three cables and just love the intensity of the color. I have taken the idea from this pattern from Palindrome. It is an easy and direct pattern that you would love to try.
August has begun and the summer is in full swing!
Of course, grand baby is doing so great! I held him and feed him recently and enjoyed each and every minute of it! As he sleeps in my arms he makes the most sweet little noises, they are so hard to describe but so beautiful to hear. His face is so beautiful as he dreams his dreams. And he is now a month old!
I have found time to knit while the weather has been very hot and humid. There really is no better place to be than in an air conditioned room with a glass of wine nearby! I made a cowl neck with Patons ColorWul in the color Bloom.
I worked the cowl in a Seed Stitch for warmth and just love the blending of colors that will wrap around the neck come the winter months.
Here is a peek at my next project! The red is his favorite color!
